I’m an illustrator, artist, and editor based in Washington, DC.
My work is rooted in storytelling. As a journalist, I’ve covered urbanism, technology, and culture for publications including The Atlantic’s CityLab, Politico, Slate, and The New Statesman. I love writing about complicated issues in public policy, including plastic bag bans, net neutrality, and housing affordability. I’ve also had a blast writing about the best part of biking to work, the “generic skyline” problem, how “Sim City” grew up, and the long history of predicting Moore’s Law’s demise.
I’m now applying those interests to visual media, with a focus on editorial illustration and sequential art.
